The actor adds another layer of talent to his ever-growing skill set: a fashion photographer for one of the top fashion magazines in the world.

James Franco put his lens to the test as he shoots some of the most high fashion models in the industry like Agyness Deyn, Imogen Poots and Natalia Bonifacci. Entitled "Chateau Dreams", the shoot is a fascinating take on the "rebel without a cause" persona. His choice of ambiance is filled with laid-back moments, with heavy lighting contrast and rugged looks. The styling of the shoot sends out a unisex appeal with pieces that can be seen on a man or a woman. Simple yet striking, the actor's deep personality transcends with his images and choice of scenarios. The actor was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in the biopic James Dean, an influential role that egged him to purse this editorial shoot.

The photos are not daring, but the vibe is definitely sexy. His choice of models couldn't be more fitting, as English model Agyness Deyn is well known for having an androgynous look. Imogen Poots has the same appeal with broader cheekbones and darker hair, while Natalia Bonifacci looked like a handsome young man without her long brown locks. The models looked like iconoclasts wearing designer undershirts, motorcycle jackets and dark sunglasses in settings that seemed like takes from an early 90's rock flick.

Aside from venturing into the world of fashion photography, James Franco is quite the over-achiever type. He has a master's degree in creative writing from Columbia University, and is a PhD candidate in Yale University. He was nominated for an Oscar for his stellar performance in 127 Hours, and the actor has won an Independent Spirit Award for his role in the Gus Van Sant drama Milk.

James Franco's fashion photos will be published on the magazine's July 2011 issue. To see all of the photos, visit this link.
