Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “iZombie” Season 2 spoilers.

The synopsis of “iZombie” Season 2, episode 9 on TVGuide teased that someone murdered a high school shop teacher, who transforms into a vigilante crime fighter called “The Fog” at night. The midseason finale’s synopsis further teased that Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) will engage in an eye-opening conversation with his new friend while Blaine DeBeers (David Anders) will force Liv to do the unthinkable.

In an interview with Los Angeles Confidential, “iZombie” cast member Rose McIver teased that Blaine will be the least of Liv’s concerns in the second season because she will be dealing with a couple of serious villains. “With a couple more players knowing she is a zombie she has more support than she felt in season one,” McIver shared.

Meanwhile, co-star David Anders teased in an IGN report that the fans can expect more on the Liv-Blaine dynamic in “iZombie” Season 2. Anders explained that Liv and Blaine share a common enemy so the two will team up and share their knowledge and resources in order to find out how to take down the show’s big bad villain.

When asked to talk about Liv’s romantic relationship in CW’s horror-comedy crime series, McIver explained that it is not easy for a zombie to be romantically involved. In Liv’s case, the 27-year-old New Zealand actress further added that the nature of her zombie character’s changing temperament makes it difficult to be consistent even though her human side still wants to be loved.

“She is lucky that Major, who adores her, has incredible patience. But he has limits too,” McIver teased. As for the brain-eating part on the show, McIver admitted that she does not really enjoy taking in the fake brains, which is a combination of gelatin, vegetable juice and hot sauce, while filming for “iZombie.”

“Yuck! But it's a tiny, tiny price to pay. I am so lucky I get to do this job,” McIver shared. “iZombie” Season 2 mid-season finale episode titled “Cape Town” is scheduled to air on Tuesday night, Dec. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
