An exclusive mobile partnership between Marvel and Alcatel provides an opportunity for the cellular phone manufacturer's flagship to be featured in the movie Iron Man 3 slated to open on May 3.

To be featured in the movie, which is part of the special effects-heavy Iron Man franchise, is the Chinese phone firm's One Touch Idol smartphone.

That model sports a 4.7-inch screen, is run by a 1GHs dual-core processor and features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. Other than those specs, there is little known details about its release in the U.S. and price tag.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol was first seen at CES 2013.

The film revolves around billionaire Tony Spark, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr, who loves his tech toys such as the glowing chemical core embedded in his chest and his flying suit.

However, to keep moviegoers in suspense, Alcatel and Marvel did not indicate if Stark or other characters in the film would hold the phone amid the action packed scenes such as exploding bombs and whizzing futuristic computing devices.

The preview, though, showed some reporters holding smartphones to interview Stark.
