WhatsApp Web finally arrives for iPhone users. This means iPhone users can now send and receive WhatsApp messages on their Mac with Safari or any other PC.

The Facebook owned world’s biggest messaging service WhatsApp Web was earlier accessible only to Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry users. Now, the WhatsApp Web list of supported devices added iPhone.

A British Reddit user first spotted the update. In WhatsApp Web the web client basically replicates conversations and messages from the mobile device in the web browser, thus enabling the user to WhatsApp from the desktop.

To start the service the users can go to https://web.whatsapp.com. There is a QR code on the site. At the same time the user needs to open the WhatsApp on their mobile and go to settings to find WhatsApp Web. The app should launch a QR code scanner. The user can simply scan the QR code displayed on WhatsApp web and start using the service.

Recently, WhatsApp introduced many new features for iOS such as the option to mute an individual chat, mark conversations as read and unread, location sharing via Apple Maps and backup videos. The update for iOS also brought the ability to crop images and videos in conversations on WhatsApp.

In July, WhatsApp Web was further updated to include some mobile-like features including more control over chats and group conversations, reported Tech First Post. The updated version features editing profile photos, status messages, delete and archive chats, keyboard shortcuts along with few UI tweaks. The setting options, contacts and group information panes now are slightly tweaked.

WhatsApp for Web is now available for Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, iPhone, Nokia S40 and Nokia S60. WhatsApp now allows the use of other browsers to access the WhatsApp Web client, but it works best with Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox.
