Because of the incremental improvements made on the iPhone 7 from the iPhone 6S, the general public is wondering what the design of the 10-year anniversary iPhone will be. It looks now as if the tech world will not be disappointed as reports are pointing towards a very different-looking handheld.

An Apple office located in Herzliya, Israel, which is reportedly in charge of producing all of Apple’s new products, has provided Business Insider with some valuable information on the iPhone 8. The publication’s source, an employee of the plant who solders components, was kept anonymous.

Without giving too much away, the person did confirm that the upcoming unit would be “different” from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6S. Furthermore, they called the handheld an iPhone 8, which almost confirms that there will be no iPhone 7S release. Normally, Apple waits two years until releasing a new generation. However, as next year will be the anniversary unit, it is expected that the device will not be an S-device.

The employee also confirmed that the iPhone 8 would have a better camera than both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 7. Though this improvement is standard with every generation, it is possible that the dual-lens camera system will be incorporated into the standard option.

The publication also spoke with three other individuals. One, who also worked at Apple’s Herzliya office, refused to comment on anything that the company is currently working on. Another, who works at a nearby Cisco, said that they have three friends working in the Apple site. “They work on the hardware side,” the source said. “Verifications. Something like that."

The third source, an individual close to the Apple office, said that it was a research and development facility, which focuses on chips, storage, cameras and wireless technologies. As such, it can be assumed that the “different” changes to be made in the iPhone 8 surround these four different phone features.
