A wide array of rumours are coming out and reports claimed that tech giant Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is set to release iPhones in extreme sizes.

Rumour has it that Apple will launch an iPhone with a larger body compared to its predecessor. This is further supported by the report released by Citi Research's analyst Glen Yeung who said that "Based on our field work in the hardware supply chain, we believe that Apple has forecast 80M-85M iPhone builds (combined iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, low-cost iPhone, iPhone 4S) in C2H13 to its suppliers, consistent with the findings of Citi's Taiwan-based technology team (see: Apple Food Chain - Supply Chain Activity to Begin in July). However, our discussions with various parts of the supply chain reveal skepticism of this forecast, with some indication of downside risk to a range of 65M-75M units (Citi is at the low end of this range- 68M)."

"This skepticism emanates from ongoing iPhone production order cuts through June (because of higher-than-expected 1H13 iPhone inventory), Apple's typical pattern of setting a higher-than-needed order target, and a modest delay in iPhone 5S production. With respect to the iPhone 5S, our checks suggest production has been delayed by 2-4 weeks, likely due to display issues. And while this does not preclude a September iPhone 5S launch date, we suspect volumes in September may consequently be challenged. As an aside, we continue to expect a 4.8" screen iPhone 6 to be launched in 1Q14," he added.

Another rumour making the rounds is that Apple will release a miniature iPhone dubbed as iPhone Mini. This rumour claimed that the device will battle against Apple's rivals Samsung and HTC's miniature smartphones - Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini.

According to rumours, iPhone 6 will come with a larger screen with the size of 4.8 inches. The screen display is speculated to be Retina+ with double the pixels compared to iPhone 5. There are also speculations that iPhone 6's new screen will be Sharp's IGZO display with 1080 HD resolution.

Some sources claimed that the iPhone 6 will feature a 3D technology. It will sport a 13 megapixels 3D rear camera and 3.2 megapixels HD front camera.

Rumour has it that Apple's iPhone 6 will be powered by A7 quad core processor, which claimed to be faster than the previous processor. The processor will be paired with iOS 7 operating system, which is packed with new and better features.

Apple may have planned to bump the storage capacity of its smartphones. iPhone 6 is said to be coming in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB variants.

Concept images claimed that iPhone 6 will be packed with security features. It is reported that Apple is planning to include a fingerprint sensor in Apple devices for added security. Moreover, a new approved patent from Apple will enable users to operate their devices with mere scratches or tap gesturing.

The patent discusses acoustic input devices and basically means that iOS devices could also be used with sound inputs that would be transmitted via the casing that would then correspond with certain functions.

Lastly, a new concept of iPhone is making the rounds showing the device capable of wireless charging. One of the most common complaints with Apple devices like iPhone is the fast depleting battery. However, with wireless charging, users will enjoy longer battery life.

The rumoured low cost iPhone, on the other hand, is speculated to feature the same sleek design but with a plastic body. It is reported that the iPhone 5S will have some of the specs and features of iPhone 4S. The smartphone is alleged to be available in different colors.
