Alleged photos of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 surfaced online and hinted that the tablets will pack Touch ID fingerprint sensor and will arrive in various colour options.

Leaked photos of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 from various sources showed what possible features that consumers will see on the tablets' release date.

Chinese website Pad Zol published some photos of gold iPad Mini, which has become quite popular evident with the sales of gold iPhone 5S. The Web site also posted photos of a device with Touch ID fingerprint sensor, which was also included in the iPhone 5S.

Australian teenager Sonny Dickson released photos of "space gray" version of the rumoured iPad Mini 2. Dickson also revealed photos of the full-fledged iPad 5 featuring the conventional silver color.

Dickson gained credibility and authority and became an Internet icon because he leaks accurate details of future Apple products.

Rumours, sparked by French Web site MacGeneration, claimed that iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 release date will take place on Oct. 15 alongside other Apple products - OS X Mavericks and MacBook Pro 2013.

This is supported by the latest note from KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo who said that the new iPads will be launched on the fourth quarter of 2013. Kuo further said that the mass production of Apple's iPad 5 will be on Q4 2013.

The full-fledged iPad 5 features will pack the faster 64-bit A7 processor chip paired with M7 GPU chip, which will bring faster processing to the tablet. The device will also feature fingerprint sensor, 5MP rear shooter and internal storage up to 128 GB. This is all housed in a slimmer bezel and iPad Mini-like design.

Meanwhile, iPad Mini 2 may retain its 7.9 inches screen display and add the 64-bit A7 processor and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Prices of future iPads will be the same as its predecessor.
