Australian rapper Iggy Azalea laughed off rumours about her gender. Recent rumours on the Internet suggested that Iggy had been born a man.

The rumours gave further details about Iggy's alleged origin as a male child. She was apparently boy in her childhood as she was named Cody. Huzlers earlier reported that Iggy admitted that she had been born a male. The report refers to an interview she gave to MTV where she said that she would not mind if the whole world found "it" as she could not hide the secret all her life. Iggy changed her name after going on testosterone blockers, the Web site claimed, and she underwent corrective surgery to become a woman. Iggy apparently also admitted, according to the Web site, that she had become a woman before starting her musical career. Iggy was compared with the former girlfriend of Michael Phelps, who earlier confessed that she had been born a male.

Iggy, on the other hand, approached the situation in a humorous manner and reacted on Twitter in a number of posts. She wondered why her name was "Cody" as a boy as she "cackled" at the rumour. She said that she could imagine herself as a "Cody" as she said that she could identify herself more as a Liam. "If had a penis. Liam Azalea," 3News quoted her. She continued to make fun of the rumour as she referred to the 2014 Chart-Topper Award at the Billboard Women in Music. She humorously wondered if she was still eligible to get the music award for women. "Am I still gonna get my billboard women in music award tomorrow, now that I supposedly have a penis or nah?" she earlier said. Iggy apparently did not hesitate to attend the ceremony as she received the award in New York during the weekend.

The West Australian reported that Iggy proved that she could handle a joke. She retweeted her fans' tweets which also took the rumour lightly. ""As long as you define yourself as a women you get it Liam don't worry," one of the fans wrote. "The secrets out your tuck game is strong tho," another posted.
