As the news came out confirming the return of Channel Ten’s “Young Talent Time” in the airwaves in 2012, everyone wants to know who will be the show’s front man. And it looks like Rob Mills has got himself a new job.

Mills hosted “Australian Idol” in 2003 and the hot Australian hunk is set to come back in the tube as “Young Talent Time” hits the waves next year.

Mills is filling quite a big shoes as the revamped version of the show was hosted by Johnny Young.

Young opted to work behind the camera this time as he is reported to be one of the show’s producers.

Auditions for the program, according to Perth Now begin on Sept. 17.

No details have been released by the ‘Young Talent Time’ creators. But rumors have it that part of the group’s plan is to showcase a core group of performers and this will be done on a weekly basis.

The success of America’s “Glee”, a musical series in the U.S. has reportedly inspired producers, including its former host Johnny Young for its reboot.

Citing the statement made by Channel Ten’s Chief Programming Officer, David Mott, Perth Now noted that the contemporary version of “Young Talent Time” targets Gen Y and family audiences.

“Nobody is more excited than me,” Young was quoted as saying by Perth Now.

“We want to search and find the finest talent in Australia,” Young said during the show’s launch in Sydney.

“Young Talent Time is sort of like a university where kids learn all about show business…so I know that we are going to give you a television show that is 2012 with a fantastic host and the greatest and finest talent that we can find around Australia.”
