Cast members for the upcoming Vampire Diaries Season 5 will be growing as two new faces add up to the list. Russian actress Olga Fonda and actor Kendrick Sampson joins the CW TV drama series' latest season and it has sparked rumours that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will eventually be replaced.

According to the TV Line report, Kendrick Sampson will portray a character names Jessie that will attract actress Candice Accola's character, Caroline Forbes, because of his wit, confidence and sweetness. Olga Fonda, on the other hand, will portray the character of a European beauty named Nadia that partners herself with typically anybody and utilize any scheme for her personal mysterious plans.

Filming production for the Vampire Diaries Season 5 is currently underway with Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev returning to professionally work with each other despite their break up. However, Ian and Nina are now rumoured to be saying goodbye to their characters soon and be replaced when their contract comes to an end after Season 6.

"Most CW shows sign a standard contract of 6 seasons when they begin and the Vampire Diaries is probably going to continue past then. There's already a Vampire Diaries spin-off caled 'The Originals' and the show's also been adding plenty of new cast members for the next season," the CelebDirtyLaundry.com report reads.

Currently, insiders continue to assure that Nina and Ian remain professional while working on the Vampire Diaries set though the ex-couple are staying out of each other's way as much as possible to avoid an awkward atmosphere.The CW Television Network is scheduled to launch the Vampire Diaries Season 5 series on October 10 while the spin-off 'The Originals' will start on October 15.
