Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed hug during lunch in West Hollywood

“The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder went out for lunch with wife Nikki Reed and mother-in-law Cheryl in West Hollywood. On Monday, the three of them were seen enjoying a family time and engaging in a group hug.

“Nikki and her mom looked especially close, holding hands as they walked to lunch,” reported Daily Mail. It was further mentioned, “After the meal, all three of the tight-knit family members leaned in for a group hug before leaving the restaurant.”

Both Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed were seen wearing casuals as they were walking through the streets of West Hollywood. Nikki, who is famous for her “Twilight” series, appeared close to her mother as she walked with her hand-in-hand.

Nikki opted for a loosely cuffed pair of jeans and Ian wore a black sweater in the chilly morning of West Hollywood. One common thing about the couple was that both Nikki and Ian wore hats.

As “The Vampire Diaries” is coming to an end in January, there are speculations about Nina Dobrev’s comeback in the show. When Variety asked him in an interview about the return of the actress, Ian said, “I don’t know. I have zero idea.” He also claimed to have no clue about the show’s ending since he called Plec and Williamson to know about the finale but with no effective results.

Nikki Reed will also return as Betsy Ross in “Sleepy Hollow” on Jan. 6. The couple seems to be relaxing before reappearing in their respective TV shows just after the holidays.

“The Vampire Diaries” actor also posted a picture of his shadow on his Instagram page with the caption: “Ever feel like you're just a shadow?”
