Fans all over the world are hyped up about the much awaited release of "The Hunger Games". The "hunger" hype has already bitten a few celebrities and stills, TV spots and behind-the-scenes shoots are creating fan mayhem unlike any other.

Judging from all the TV spots and the stills combined, "Hunger Games" looks far better than "Twilight".

Suzanne Collins post-apocalyptic novel is set in the Capitol of Panem where tributes from twelve districts compete in a battle against each other for survival.

It's a compelling story that revolves around humanity, life and love which is reason enough as to why it has been a best seller and a great read among the youth. "The Hunger Games" has constantly been compared to the likes of "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" which is slated for huge success.

Now, however, fans and film critics alike say that "The Hunger Games" is far better than "Twilight" basing on all the behind-the-scenes footage, movie stills and TV spots released.

To give a better judgment of the films, fans and film critics should base it on the actors, the director and the books of which the film is adapted from.

For the directors, "Twilight" films have around four of who had a series of compelling films that they have produced. One is Chris Weitz known for the films, "American Pie" and "The Golden Compass" and another "Twilight" director, David Slade, known for the film "30 Days of Night" which is no doubt why he was chosen to direct another vampire flick.

As for "The Hunger Games", director Gary Ross took on the shots. He's known for the film "Seabiscuit" which has garnered a whopping seven Oscar nominations.

Next category would be actors. While Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence are equally talented and beautiful women in Hollywood, its obvious Lawrence earns the upper hand for her Oscar Award nomination for Best Actress in the film, "Winter's Bone." Yet, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth of the "Hunger Games" combined still do not add up to the hunky and hot British actor from "Twilight", Robert Pattinson. Some though, might say that Hemsworth and Hutcherson are better actors combined than the Twilight star.

Fans will always have their say regarding their favorite films while film critics will always find something critique-worthy to base two films on. Whatever the factors are, "Hunger Games" and "Twilight" are films slated for greatness now that the worldwide wizardly phenomena, "Harry Potter" have ended.
