Famous celebrities are always aware that the paparazzi and fans hound them wherever they go, but Australian actor Hugh Jackman was unprepared with a bizarre action that a female fan did to him recently. The deranged fan reportedly throws a razor with her pubic hair at the 44-year-old "Les Miserables" star in New York City.

At the Gotham Gym in the West Village, Hugh Jackman was busy with his gym work-out last Saturday when the woman, identified as Katherine Thurston, suddenly appeared and declared her admiration and love for the "X-Men" actor while crying.

According to The New York Post report, the stalker was a female blonde wearing khaki pants and a blue hoodie. She was hysterically sobbing as she easily slipped in past the gym's entrance desk and made a scene in front of the Australian superstar.

Afterwards, the female stalker pulled out the electric razor blade covered in her own pubic hair from her waistband and threw it at the actor. "She was screaming 'I love you!' as a staffer dragged her away from the star," the police revealed.

Police officers were able to apprehend the hysterical fan near the New York gym and she was charged with fourth-degree stalking. Despite the horrifying encounter, Hugh Jackman remained calm and even gave a kind response to the disturbed female fan.

"Jackman had the situation under control. He's a super nice guy," Mike Castle, a trainer at the gym, revealed. Hugh Jackman explained to "1010 Wins" that the incident was definitely a frightening experience but he is not judging the female fan.

"Here's a woman who obviously needs help so I just hope she gets the help she needs," Jackman stated. The actor further revealed that the gym incident was not his first encounter with Katherine Thurston since she has been closely following him and his family up to the point that the female stalker showed up at the school of his daughter Ava and even their house.

"I suppose for me, the primary concern is my family, obviously," the actor stated. Hugh Jackman reprised the role of mutant Logan or Wolverine in his latest film titled "The Wolverine" which is scheduled for a cinema release on July 2013.
