The Chinese smartphone manufacturer made the announcement about the Ascend P6 smartphone in May through the social networking site Facebook. Even Huawei Chairman Richard Yu was confident to declare the Ascend P6 will be a highly successful competitor in the smartphone market.

The Emotion UI will reportedly be layered with a still unidentified version of the Android OS as Huawei goes for a variety of themes on the Ascend P6 that reshapes and recolour the core app icons on the smartphone as well as the widgets.
