Looking back at the smartphones released in 2014, one cannot miss the fact that Android and iOS based devices have really done well. In specific, the Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the HTC One (M8), LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3, Nexus 6 and the Motorola Moto X 2014 have all got wide-spread attention and positive reviews in one or the other category. Speaking of 2015, there are quite a lot of Android phones lined up for release in the first half of the year, like the Samsung Galaxy S6, LG G4 and the much-awaited "HTC One (M9)," also referred as "HTC Hima" smartphone.

Reportedly, the first set of images of the HTC One (M9) has been leaked by none-other-than the credible French tech site NWE. The leaked images show the One (M9)'s font panel. Based on the images, it is clear that HTC is making the upcoming flagship's screen size relatively bigger than the current-generation device. Also according to NWE, the display size of the upcoming HTC One (M9) will reportedly be 5.2-inch, whereas the HTC One (M8) features a 5.0-inch display, notes BGR.

The aforesaid display size is in-line with the earlier rumour. However, BGR says, one other rumour pointed to a whopping 5.5-inch display for the HTC Hima handset. Keeping the display size confusion apart, the HTC One (M9) will reportedly come with a 2K resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Plus, the handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and the under the hood configurations will be held together by a good 3 GB of RAM.

As far as the memory goes, the smartphone will reportedly come equipped with 64 GB of built-in storage and microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. Readers should note that the current-generation device comes with 16 GB and 32 GB of storage capacity. It is also believed that the One (M9) will run on the latest Android v5.0 Lollipop OS. Furthermore, the handset will reportedly come with IP rating higher than the HTC One (M8).

Moving on to the camera configuration, there will be a 16 MP rear-facing camera unit bundled with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. Lastly, this incredible handset will reportedly be backed by a killer 3,500 mAh battery unit. On release date, this flagship device is expected to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC), scheduled in Barcelona. Interested readers should head to NWE website to get a glimpse of the front panel shots of the upcoming HTC One (M9)/HTC Hima.
