Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update on HTC One M8 devices. Initially, the release of update was September 10 but it started later. Nonetheless, some users and other networks may have to wait until HTC and Android complete the release. Verizon subscribers can start checking out their Software Updates menu if the Android 4.4.3 KitKat firmware already arrived. Some users may have to wait longer than others depending on their region and network settings.

The Verizon Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is now available via Over-the-Air or OTA update. Earlier this month, the HTC One M7 received the upgrade. The HTC One M8 has started following suit. As with Google's confirmation previously, the software does not bring major additional features rather it offers a range of improvements and tweaks. According to Android Geeks, while it may not be a major update, users are still advised to get the device in preparation for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

The new KitKat update for HTC One M8 features Extreme Power Saving Mode. The function can be enabled right after upgrading to the software. It offers more control over extending the device's battery life. However, there is a downside to enabling the feature. People can only send/receive text messages and make/receive calls. HTC's President of Product Management Mo Versi confirmed the update. People can start looking out for notifications on their phone if they wish to upgrade.

Amazon has also started offering discounted handsets including HTC One M8. People can now buy the 32GB edition for $49.99 on contact with Verizon, Sprint or AT&T. The HTC One M8 packs some serious features like 5-inch 1080 Super LCD3 screen, 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, 4 MP Dual UltraPixel rear-facing cam and Sense 6.0 UI. Users who have installed Custom ROMs along with other changes cannot receive the OTA release of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat. They have to install another ROM to keep their devices updated.
