Starting May 3, major Australian carriers including Telstra, Vodafone, Virgin Mobile and Optus are offering the recently released HTC 10. Within a very short span of time, the device has gained momentum in the market and has been reviewed as one of the best Android smartphones of 2016 released to date.

According to Phanroid review, HTC 10 provides the most satisfying users experience among its competitors, including Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, LG G5, Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Huawei Mate 8 among others.

The HTC 10 sports an aluminium unibody design with a full-glass front panel and chamfered edges. The metal body gives it a bold and firm feel, as reviewed by Mashable. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch 2K Super LCD 5 display carrying a QHD resolution of 2,560×1,440 pixels.

Moreover, HTC claims to have included the fastest fingerprint scanner right on the home button.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 4GB of RAM makes the HTC 10 a much faster phone than its predecessor. The latest processor is 50 percent faster and power efficient than the Snapdragon 810 SoC, claims Qualcomm.

The blazing fast processor coupled with 3,000mAh battery enhances the user experience manifold. The device also ropes in Quick Charge 3.0, which juices up the battery from zero to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

An HTC 10 review by BGR revealed that the smartphone toppled the Apple iPhone 6s, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Xioami Mi5 to an awesome 145,595 points in the Antutu benchmark.

HTC has equipped the handset with 32 GB or 64 G B of internal storage capacity along with microSD card support. The native memory can be expanded up to 2TB.

The HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi has completely revamped the audio experience of the HTC 10. It is the first ever Android phone to support Apple AirPlay.

The smartphone come packed with a pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which brings in Doze, Google Now on Tap, Apps permission and support for Android Pay.

The HTC10 can also be purchased from the official website of the company, starting at US$699 (AU$952).
