When you purchase a new Android, you might notice how performance and speed have somewhat diminished after only a few weeks. There are several things that you can do to make your android phone run faster without spending more. Here are the tips on how to improve the speed of your Android phone.

1. Remove unused apps. There may be a number of apps running in the background that take some space and memory from your device. Go to Settings then Apps. Swipe to the All tab. View the list of apps then point out the ones that you do not use or need. Tap on the apps that you wish to remove then select Uninstall. You may also tap Disable. You may enable these later on if you like.

Next, go to Settings then Apps and look at the Running tab. There are apps listed that may be running all the time and slow down your Android phone. Disable the apps that you are not currently using to save more memory and improve your phone speed.

2. Restart your phone. It can be beneficial to restart your Android phone at least once a day to refresh its memory and shut off apps that you are not using at the moment.

3. Update your system. At times, failing to update your Android software will slow down performance. Go to Settings then About device then Software update to check if there are any available updates. Download and install the system updates accordingly and observe how better your phone performs after.

4. Shut off auto sync. Some people add various accounts to their Android phones and allow these to automatically sync in the background. The syncing will acquire new date and updates, but tend to put a toll on battery life and phone speed. Go to Settings then look for Auto-sync in Accounts. Turn it off and see how faster your device runs.

Removing unwanted apps and getting the latest updates should be done regularly to ensure that your Android phone performs optimally every time.
