The highly anticipated "Homeland" Season 4 is set to premiere on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014. Showtime's super hit thriller series will bring back most of the main characters including Claire Danes (Carrie Mathison), Rupert Friend (Peter Quinn) and Mandy Patinkin (Saul Berenson), except Brody (Damian Lewis). Fans are eager to see how Carrie's life shapes up after Brody's unexpected death. Here are few spoilers from the "Homeland" Season 4 episode 1 (Premiere) "The Drone Queen." In the two-hour premiere segment, fans will be introduced to Carrie's new life, new job and new mission. The CIA intelligence officer is now working at a new station located in South Asia. Her new job will take her to places like Kabul and Islamabad.

Dishing out some details on the episode 1 of "Homeland" Season 4, Hypable notes the CIA fights new challenges and a misadvenure that is bringing bringing bad name to the organisation. Adding to the drama will be various elements of personal lives of Carrie, Quinn and Saul.

Spoilers TV released the synopsis of "The Drone Queen." Fans can brace themselves for an explosive, action-packed premiere as "Carrie returns to the states for an inquiry." Meanwhile, Quinn will face up with an unlikely challenge possibly related to his career. Fans will see him "spiraling out of control." As for their new case, a disgraced officer spills some shocking yet significant details.

Showtime has published a very brief description of the first episode of the fourth instalment on its official website, teasing spoilers. The media report hints at a "critical decision" that Carrie will make. Meanwhile, the network has released a promo video (published on YouTube.com) from "Homeland" Season 4 episode 1 (premiere) "The Drone Queen." It shows a long, deep conversation between Carrie and Quinn at the airport.

The network has also published some promotional photos on its official website, giving a glimpse of the new segment. One photo shows Carrie and her team celebrating. Another photo shows Carrie hard at work. A photo also hints at the "Homeland" debut of "Life of Pi" actor Suraj Sharma. "Homeland" Season 4 will also introduce Tracy Letts' character Andrew Lockhart and Nimrat Kaur's character Tasleem Qureshi.

Previously, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Alex Gansa revealed the theme of "Homeland" Season 4. "It's about seeing Carrie Mathison for the first time doing the job she was trained to do—being a case officer in a foreign capital," Gansa told the abovementioned entertainment news website.

Episode 1 (premiere) "The Drone Queen" airs on Oct. 5, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Showtime.
