Homeland brings new feel for its upcoming seasons in autumn. The president for Fox 21, Bert Salke raves about Homeland Season 3 and he thinks that it’s the best season for Showtime’s hit series.

The CIA drama, according to Salke offers better script and developments among its top characters that fans will hardly catch their breaths week after week.

The challenge he said is “to transfer to Homeland 2.0.”

"There are bigger developments character-wise this year than there have been. The best Homeland script that I've ever seen writing-wise was this year . . . And I think they're playing at that level," Salke was quoted as saying in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, according to Enstarz.

A gripping story line does not come as a big surprise for Homeland. The popular TV series has always received nominations and awards for its previous seasons: two Emmy nominations for its script - - one for the pilot episode in Season 1 and another for Q&A in Season 2. Homeland won an Emmy for its script in Season 1, pilot episode.

But Salke insisted Season 3 promises an even better storyline.

To make his point, Salke emphasized the change in some of the show’s major characters and the sequences offering “more emotional” than previous ones.

The network boss said, "It's a very big development season for Mandy Patinkin's Saul, and for Quinn [Rupert Friend], too.”

The show’s executive also hints that more answers will be drawn out from the current series for all the questions raised and left hanging at the end of Season 2.

He said, “And as opposed to the way some things went down last year, there are definitive answers here - and a development that nobody is thinking about that is personal and awesome."

Other reports claim however, that there will be less of Sgt. Nick Brody for Season 3. But latest updates from the show’s officials noted that there will be less of Brody indeed, but only in the early episodes of the next season.

Homeland Season 3 kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
