E!News has confirmed that the Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married over the weekend in a secret ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina just outside of Charleston. A source revealed that the wedding guests included only close friends of the couple.

News about the top secret ceremony was first tipped by local radio station 95.1 FM. Wedding rumors about the couple went wild last July but that turned out to be a bit premature.

According to reports, the newlywed's reception took place underneath a large white tent with the music from Blake Lively's friend Florence Welch of the Florence + the Machine band together with a DJ.

"A few days ago, I heard Ryan was back in town. Then today, lots of signs went up at Boone Hall Plantation stating that it was holding a private event, so no one could get into the area. I also started hearing rumors that a celebrity wedding was taking place," Kelly Gukanovich of the FM radio station revealed to E!News.

"I am being told there were around 60 people at the event and that a local restaurant may have catered it. Ryan has always loved it here and when he got together with Blake, he started to bring her here, too," Gukanovich further added.

Meanwhile, a source close to the 25-year old "Gossip Girl" actress revealed that the inner circle of Blake Lively was shocked that she and 35-year old Ryan Reynolds already tied the knot after her break up with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio just a year ago.

The couple's relationship first went public when they were often seen together at several locations. Ever since the news broke out that the two are dating, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds became inseparable and they even started living together.

This is already the second time that "The Green Lantern" actor Ryan Reynolds took a walk down the aisle after getting married to actress Scarlett Johansson back in 2008. However, they got divorced two years later citing irreconcilable differences. On the other hand, this is Blake Lively's first marriage after previously dating the "Titanic" star Leonardo DiCaprio and her "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley.

Representatives for the newly married couple were not immediately available to give comments.
