Victoria Beckham has been very careful in setting herself apart from being a typical celebrity fashion designer and it appears that all of her efforts had actually paid off. A thrilled Victoria Beckham could not contain her delight as the front row applauded on her latest New York Fashion Week show.

Crisp shirts and sharp, pointed collars were the highlight of the designer's 2013 Spring/Summer Collection. Her clearly delighted reaction was seen as Victoria Beckham held her hands to her in face in surprise before returning backstage.

In the latest string of critically acclaimed collections, the former Spice Girl member continued the school girl theme that has been in her collections lately. Sharp pointed collars and cropped jackets were new for the label and it is now welcomed as an addition to her repertoire of fitted dresses. Pleated white tennis skirts and racer-back tanks gave out a sporty feel that was heightened by the styling and the look was teamed up with flat brogues and boots.

Meanwhile, a delicate lattice pattern was a key detail and it appeared on the dresses and tops on cutaway sections as well as handbags and clutches. "It was good I see her move to separates. There was almost a Carven feel to some of the pieces such as the box skirts and cropped jackets," said Lauren Stevenson, the PR Director at My-wardrobe.

"But there was a relaxed feel to the collection. I liked it, it's good to see her confidence growing with each collection," Stevenson commented on Victoria Beckham's clothing line.

Victoria Beckham, the fashion designer herself, wore a black mini-dress from the collection with the same towering peep-toe shoe-boots that was worn by her models. The front row that included Anna Wintour, Maria Sharapova, Anna Dello Russo as well as proud husband David Beckham broke out into rapturous applause as Victoria Beckham took her bow at the end of the fashion show.
