While it definitely is not a secret that Taylor Swift started dating Tom Hiddleston just weeks after her split with Calvin Harris, the two have yet to make an official public appearance together. However, Hiddleswift is expected to arrive at the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet together.

"Tom normally doesn't like his public life overlapping with his private life,” a source told The Sun. “But he is so happy with Taylor that it's the perfect time.”

Hiddleston, 35, was nominated for his role in “Night Manager,” but it seems like the bigger thing on everyone’s mind will be his walk down the red carpet with Swift, 26. The same source mentioned that while the Emmys are definitely meant to showcase and praise different performances, the Hiddleswift show is what will keep the public tuned in. Reportedly, the event’s organisers made it very clear that Swift was more than welcome to join the special night.

And while the appearance is looking very much like a publicity stunt again, it should be noted that Hiddleston has already denied these claims. "Well, um. How best to put this? That notion is -- look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we're very happy,” Mirror.uk quotes him saying. “Thanks for asking. That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."

“Night Manager” is a miniseries that consists of six episodes and was distributed by IMG. It started airing on British network BBC One in February this year, followed by the US, via AMC, in April. Along with Hiddleston, the series also stars Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, Elizabeth Debicki and David Harewood.

Hiddleston portrays Jonathan Pine, a retired British soldier who is recruited to join an intelligence operative. His task is to navigate Whitehall, London and Washington, DC, where there is a strengthening tie between the intelligence community and a secret arms trade.

The 2016 Emmy Awards will take place on Sep. 18 at 5 p.m. PDT.
