Henry Cavill, who is playing Superman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” has said that both Lois Lane and Wonder Woman have importance in his character’s life

“The goddess can do all the normal things, which we would think are normal in a relationship, and not have any fear of Superman,” the actor said to Cosmopolitan. “But you also need to have that baseline of humanity, which Lois provides.”

He also said that it is not easy to decide between Lane and Wonder Woman as both have their own special place in Superman’s life. For Cavill, Wonder Woman is a strong character who can go “toe to toe” with Superman.

The actor also talked about how strong women characters are getting more screen space on both movies and television series. He said that he is glad that characters like Wonder Woman are being shown more on television and movies.

In the comics (via Comic Vine), Lane is shown as Superman’s love interest, while Wonder Woman is one of his best friends. In the upcoming, Zack Snyder’s film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Gal Gadot will be seen playing Wonder Woman, and Amy Adams will play Lane. And it is not yet known if the movie’s love interest differs from comic book’s and who will Cavill’s character romance in the film.

Snyder has directed the film from the screenplay by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. The film will see Batman (Ben Affleck) going to Metropolis to keep Superman in check. The two will indulge in a battle as a new threat will endanger the mankind.

The film cast also consists of Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter. Jason Momoa will be seen in the role of Aquaman, and Ray Fisher is playing Cyborg. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder have produced the film. The film opens Mar.25, 2016.
