The end of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” showed Hulk floating in space inside the Quinjet. A theory claimed Hulk was purposely left in space so he could meet the guardians and subsequently appear in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” Whether this is what Marvel has planned for the character remains unclear. But if Chris Pratt was to choose, then he would love to have Star Lord meet Hulk in the sequel.

Chris Pratt briefly talked about “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” during a recent interview about “Jurassic World” with IGN. The actor, who plays Peter Quill a.k.a. Star Lord in the Marvel comic book adaptation, was asked whether Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) would make an appearance in the sequel considering what happened to the character in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Pratt said that he “hadn’t heard” about that theory but claimed that he “would love the chance to work with Mark Ruffalo since he’s a “terrific actor.”

The actor was further asked if he would like for Hulk to join “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” and how he and Star Lord might get along if that happens. “How they would interact with one another? That would be up to the writers,” he replied. “My guess is they’d be doing some choreographed dances in no time,” he added. The actor jokingly concluded that he would teach the Hulk how to do the Running Man.

Chris Pratt didn’t exactly confirm nor deny if Hulk will make an appearance in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” But according to Comic Book Movie, the actor’s reaction when asked about the subject may have already been a hint to the angry giant’s presence in the sequel.

However, commentators are apparently against the idea of a Planet Hulk in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” Mark Ruffalo reportedly deserves his own Hulk movie rather than appear as another supporting character in another Marvel film. According to reader xMichaelxScottx, putting Hulk with the guardians would just be like making “a Hulk movie without it technically being a Hulk movie.”

Marvel Studios reportedly still has no plans to make a ”Planet Hulk” movie since per Screenrant Universal still owns the rights to stand alone Hulk films. Having the green giant in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” was initially Marvel’s plan to boost the box office numbers of the sequel. The future of the character with the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still uncertain at this point.
