It is official that Google will soon become a wireless carrier. However, it has not yet made its MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) services available to its users. Google is rumoured to be working on a service that is dubbed as NOVA and it is expected to offer affordable MVNO across major service providers like T-Mobile and Sprint.

According to Tech Zone 360, it will be a very reasonable and customer friendly wireless service. Users will be able to manage it through an app and it will give the power to the users to only pay for what they have used. Moreover, if there are any unused minutes, the service will provide it users with a return credit. The credit will be applicable on the upcoming bill.

If a user exceeds his minutes, he will be only charged according to the pay rate. In other words, it will not astound users with huge bill amounts. The app can be used to carry out of multiple functions such as temporarily or permanently disconnecting the account, viewing bill statements, automatic payment and so on.

It will also allow users to use a single plan and the same data plan for multiple devices. Users with multiple handsets will be able to switch devices by using the app without the need of manually removing the SIM card. The Google Pay service that allows users to use the handset as a credit card can also be managed through the app as well.

It further adds that Google will be monitoring the calls and usage of its user and working with advertisers. Consumers will also have the option to opt out of it but may have to pay a heavy fee to avoid it.

The feature is expected to come exclusively on Nexus smartphones like the forthcoming Google Nexus 2015 smartphone. Apple is also predicted to do an MVNO but one should aware of the fact that such a service does not make much profit. Since Apple mainly functions by earning enormous margins by selling its iDevices, it is not likely to do an MVNO. Tech Zone 360 predicts that Google’s MVNO may result in large number of customers moving from iPhone to Google and Nexus.
