Google has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on its Nexus lien with LG and Motorola following with their releases. There is no final word from Samsung yet on its schedule while HTC promised the firmware within 90 days, Sony also confirmed the Android 5.0 Lollipop on all of its Xperia devices.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop release to Nexus devices was confirmed a post on the official Android Twitter account. According to the tweet: "#AndroidLollipop rollout has started and will soon be available on most #Nexus devices. Dessert is served."

As for HTC, the company claimed that it has been working on delivering the update to its devices. According to Tech Radar, the company confirmed that it is committed in bringing the update to the HTC One family. Specifically, HTC promised: "We will begin rolling out updates to the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) in regions worldwide within 90 days of receiving final software from Google, followed shortly thereafter by other One family members and select devices."

Last November 4 HTC updated its twitter account announcing its receipt of the Android 5.0 Lollipop code. The firmware should reach the HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 devices 90 days.

Samsung has not confirmed the final details of its Lollipop roll out. SamMobile reported that the company may release a Samsung Galaxy S5 with pre-installed Android 5.0 Lollipop around December 2014. Nonetheless, the schedule may still depend on network providers. Users should be prepared to receive the software past December and around the first quarter of 2015.

SamMobile also cited sources confirming that Samsung will be bringing the update to the Exynos variant (GT-I9500). Sony, on other hand, claimed that the company intends to deliver the Lollipop firmware to all of its Xperia Z Series. The list includes:
