Shawn Patrick Hunter (Rider Strong) and Katy Grace Hart’s (Cheryl Texiera) big day arrives a little earlier than expected in this lovely episode titled “Girl Meets I Do.” While drama has been brewing for this big day, it otherwise turned out to be wonderful and full of love. Although Maya had been dealing with all sorts of worries running through her head, she actually was preparing for her mother’s big day.

Of course, Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) could not help but remember her mother’s previous romantic tragedies and worry about how the next one would be. This led Maya through the most part of this very special episode trying to keep the wedding from pushing through. She even says that her mother might have some sort of “nut gene” -- that when coupled with any man would make him go from “ I do to What did I do?”

It is not too hard to understand what Maya is going through. Just like any dutiful and loving daughter, she cannot help but have a few deep concerns. These include where are they going to live, or if Shawn moving to the City, or if Katy will move upstate. How those things will be addressed will be revealed in the later episodes.

In the end, the wedding did push through in a manner that will have all viewers gushing over the sweetness. Maya interrupting the vows during the wedding became just a way to show her solid support to Shawn.

It was also very pleasant to see William Daniels briefly reprise his role as Mr. Feeny, who officiated the wedding. He spoke very limited lines, but his surprise appearance was a real treat for viewers of “Boy Meets World” more than it was for viewers of “Girl Meets World.” He was just exactly the Mr. Feeny who viewers missed seeing on screen.

The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful and was accompanied with a fitting soundtrack. The matching catchphrase “This wedding ain’t about you” was thrown around and might have been intended to address Maya’s worries over her mother’s marriage.

This episode very colourfully culminated Shawn’s character and paints a lot of beautiful possibilities for the future in this series. The next episode of “Girl Meets World,” titled “Girl Meets the Real World,” will air on the Disney Channel on August 19. It also airs on the Disney Channel Australia.
