Australian citizen Mark Newton and his American boy friend Peter Truong adopted a boy by paying $8000 to a Russian woman who agreed to be their surrogate. The sexual abuse started when the boy was just 20 months old and the police have found hours of videos recording the abuse.

The revelations came to light by investigations by ABC TV's Four Corners, reported by The Australian. According to the report the couple took the boy around the world for about six years and allowed other men to sexually abuse the boy while they filmed the acts.

The sexual acts included oral and anal intercourse. More than 80 hours of video footage was uncovered by the police investigation. The couple had allowed at least eight men to sexually abuse the boy.

The video of the sexual abuse was reportedly uploaded on an international syndicate known as Boy Lovers Network. The couple reportedly were considered "rock stars" by other paedophiles for their ability to fly around the world abusing the boy and letting others abuse him sexually and getting away with it.

The eight men who also committed sexual acts on the boy were from Australia, the U.S, Germany and France. The gay couple has since been arrested and are currently serving their sentence in the U.S.

Just before hearing the sentence Mark Newton reportedly said that being a father was an honour and a privilege and the six years he spent with the boy were the best years of his life.

Newton was sentenced to 40 years and his partner Truong was sentenced to 30 years of prison in the U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker reportedly said that the pair deserved a harsher punishment.

The gay couple were tried in a district court so that the members of a jury are not subjected to viewing some of the offensive and sickening evidence in the form of video footage of the sexual acts on the boy.

The convicted gay couple reportedly gave an interview to an ABC reporter in Queensland in 2010. The interview was about their battle to have a child as a gay couple. According to the police the duo presented an image of a loving couple. The boy is being cared for by the extended family in the U.S.
