There's more to just the stunning realism depicted in Call of Duty: Ghosts that sets this game apart from its past installments.

Mashable reports that this installment may actually be the most human yet for the Call of Duty series.

"It opens up more emotional connection for the characters and the worlds. So much of the narrative story telling is about suspension of disbelief and being able to transport yourself into another world," said Eric Hirshberg, Activision CEO, to Mashable.

In terms of technicalities, it points to the Sub-D gaming engine, which allows for an amplified pixel count, so that the result would be realistic soldiers and environment, close enough to make them look alive.

Check out some of the behind-closed-doors gameplay videos, delivered by Joystiq. There are two videos in total, the first being Into the Deep, showing off underwater gameplay, where you'd have to take down enemy ships and be able to use underwater guns for enemy targets.

There's No Man's Land, which according to USA Today, features two brothers and the dog companion, Riley. Here you'll see Riley stalking enemies and attacking them, and letting you see the coordination in strikes.

Final Fantasy 15 gets episodic sequels

There will be more to expect from Final Fantasy 15, and it's looking at an episodic release to keep gamers going back for more.

VG 24/7 reports that apart from the many sequels, gamers will be able to play and enjoy them at a much faster pace, considering that the actual game had taken a long time in coming.

"While Final Fantasy 15 will have one climax, as a story, we plan to continue it further," said Tetsuya Nomura, director of the series, in a statement quoted by VG 24/7. "Also, we've been exploring online compatibilities ever since the shift towards the next-generation hardware was decided."

In addition, the report also mentions the possibility of DLCs being integrated with smartphones or even a PS Vita tie-in, to maximize and enhance online features.

Get ready for a surprise for Metal Gear Solid 5

If there's something to look forward to with the Xbox One game Metal Gear Solid 5, it's got to be one of series creator Hideo Kojima's usual nod to gamers while playing the game.

Computer and Video Games reports that the creators are planning to explore potential surprises brought on by the controller and hardware in the next-generation consoles. In particular, it seems that they are interested in putting to good use the ability of the Xbox One's Kinect to read heartbeats.

"We have challenged and pushed ourselves with something that movies can't do but only games can do," said Kojima to CVG. "It hasn't been done before."

As of now, their plan is still in the drawing board, and Kojima admits that with the work cut out for them, they are not sure if the new feature can be found in the Metal Gear Solid 5 or in later games.

Still, it's good to hear that more games are now exploring the many features that the next-gen consoles are offering.
