“Game of Thrones” series creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff are breaking their silence as they reveal the reason behind L.S. (spoiler alert: Lady Stoneheart) not appearing in Season 4. While some fans expect to see her in “Game of Thrones” Season 5, Weiss admitted that there’s no value in anything that they have to say about it as there are so many speculations surrounding the elusive L.S.

“[The change of strategy is] not out of any disrespect; the fact that people care enough about the books and the show to have arguments about it is something we have huge gratitude and respect for,” Weiss told Entertainment Weekly. “It opens a Pandora’s box of questions you could spend your whole life answering, and the net result is that what you said will probably make people less happy than if you hadn’t said anything.”

In a separate interview, Benioff admitted that people will always complain if they don’t know what’s coming up ahead. He also hinted that even if the show is going in a different direction it will always end in the same way as the book. So fans of the show and the book series will just have to wait and see until the very end before making their judgement.

Lady Stoneheart is the vengeful, zombified version of Catelyn Stark who was killed in Season 3’s Red Wedding. The character appeared in the epilogue of Martin’s “A Storm of Swords” novel, the third instalment of “Song of Ice and Fire” book series.

Played by Michelle Fairley, Lady Stark as a zombie who is set to kill people is not something that the showrunners are interested to focus on, according to GOT director Alex Graves. Since there are a lot of things happening in the show the creators have to pick significant events and characters that will help them achieve an epic ending.

Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” Season 5 is set to be a darker season for the show based on Martin’s two books, “A Feast of Crows and “A Dance With Dragons.” The new season is scheduled to premiere on HBO on April 12. Watch the show’s trailer here courtesy of GameofThrones.
