Eva Butterly is a new cast member of “Game of Thrones” and will be seen in Season 6. The actress talked about her casting and teased her role on the show in a recent interview. Filming of the TV series is currently underway in Northern Ireland and Spain.

In an interview with Vancity Buzz, Butterly said that the next season of the popular TV series will be “pretty dark” with some elements of “humour.” The actress may be playing a character who is a part of a theatre troupe. Talking about her character on the show, she said that the goal was to “play theatre.”

Butterly was a part of a storyline of one major character, but she did not reveal which point of view character she worked with. The actress also got to meet some of the other actors on the show, who were not part of her scenes, when she went to the city of Belfast initially for costume fitting.

The actress revealed that she was struggling in her acting career before being cast in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. Now that she has met some of the main cast members of the show and is getting “treated like a celebrity,” she finds the experience a little “overwhelming.”

Butterly described the production set of the show as “massive” and compared it to a set of a movie. The actress said that the fans and paparazzi could always be found outside the gate and one man apparently stayed there for about 12 hours with his camera.

Talking about the audition process, the actress revealed that the producers initially chose a set of actors from various casting agencies and the selected actors were then asked to send in a video audition. Butterly said that waiting for a call from the producers to know whether or not she was hired was like “waiting for the boyfriend to call.”

Filming of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is currently on going in Girona, Spain and the filming will wrap in the city by the end of the week, WinterIsComing reports. Filming is said to take place at Navarra next and later scenes involving the Tower of Joy will be filmed at Castillo de Zafra.
