War is being thrust on Westeros once again in “Game of Thrones” Season 6, whether the Lannisters like it or not. The message Jaime sent to Doran in the premiere episode teases a war that is inevitable, despite people fighting for peace on both sides.

[Spoiler alert]

Viewers were not able to see the message Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) sent to Doran Martell (Alexander Siddig) in the premiere episode. The full message has now been posted on Making Game of Thrones, along with a few pictures of some of the objects seen in Dorne.

A close look at the picture of the message reveals that Jaime rightly suspects Ellaria’s (Indira Varma) hand in the death of Myrcella (Aimee Richardson). He warns that Cersei (Lena Headey) will want to go to war over the death of her daughter.

However, Jaime also suggests that if Doran wants to avoid war he can start by sending over Ellaria’s head, along with the heads of the Sand Snakes. It may not be enough to stop a war, but it will be a start in mending the relationship between the two kingdoms.

With the death of Doran in the premiere episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6, the little hope for peace is lost. Even if he were alive, Jaime’s suggestion would have been nearly impossible. Besides, Ellaria and the Sand Snakes are committed to going to war against the Lannisters and they perceived Doran’s strategy as weakness.

The Lannisters are facing trouble on multiple fronts in the current season. They have to deal with an increasingly belligerent High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce), while managing a delicate alliance with House Tyrell. They may also have to send an army to the north, where the Boltons seek to secure their position after Sansa’s (Sophie Turner) marriage to Ramsay (Iwan Rheon).

Irrespective of their situation, the Lannisters will have to prepare for war in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. Even if they manage to subdue the High Sparrow and his Faith Militants and also manage to keep the peace with the Tyrells, they may still have to face the invading army from Dorne.
