The third season of the world-famous HBO series, Game of Thrones is just around the corner, and here are the new characters to join the heavy-hitting cast of the show, including the entrance of the Queen of Thorns.

Since the show's Airing in April 2011, Game of Thrones has gained a huge following. Its crossover to fantasy and real-life dramatic situations engaged fans of both realms, including the spectacular production that make each episode as epic as the last one.

For season 3, new characters are to be welcomed, and fans cannot wait to witness how happenings will unfold. Here are the list of the new players to be included in the fight for the iron throne:

Sir Brynden "Blackfish" Tully - Played by English actor Clive Russell, is a fighter who is proved invaluable to Robb Stark. He is an upholder of true family values and was knighted and during the War of the Ninepenny Kings.

Missandei - Nathalie Emmanuel plays Daenerys Targaryen's faithful servant, Missandei. She is freed by the mother of dragons at an early age, and took on to her journeys. She has a round face, and golden eyes and possesses intelligence that show much for her young age.

Orell - An eagle bearer whose human body was killed by Jon Snow, Orell is portrayed by British comedian, MacKenzie Crook. In this season, he will search for his party of rangers after his body is restored due to the magic of "skinchanging."

Shireen Baretheon - Young kerry Ingram plays Shireen Baratheon, the daughter of Stannis and Lady Selyse Florent.

Meera Reed - Ellie Kendrick plays 15-year-old slim Meera and is skilled in fighting with a net and a three throng frog spear, taught by her father Howland Reed. She and her brother will pledge support to the Robb Stark. She is fancied by the traitor, Theon Greyjoy, but Bran Stark's love for her will flourish as episodes go on.

Jojen Reed -Thomas Brodie-Sangster plays Meera's younger brother Jojen, who has prophetic powers over his dreams.

Beric Dondarrion- played by Richard Dormer, Dondarrion was the former lord of Blackhaven and became the leader of Brotherhood without Banners after being sent by Eddard Stark. He will be resurrected by Thoros of Myr.

Thoros of Myr - a member of the King's Landing, Thoros is well portrayed by veteran actor Paul Kaye.

Olenna Redwyne Tyrell "Queen of Thorns" - Respected English actress, Diana Rigg is the Queen of Thorns. She is described in the novels as a cunning, intelligent woman, who is sharp in using her tongues and wit for dominance.

"It's going to be intriguing, spectacular sexy, and violent as it is always been," says Clive Russel when asked about how he perceives the third season of the show. All of them feel to be privileged to be a part of a stellar cast, acting for such a massively popular show.
