Played perfectly by petite English actress, Emilia Clarke, Daenerys has gained population among fans because of the development of her character: from a push-over sister to a dragon-yielding leader of an army.

Even if Daenerys' character lies in the fictional and fantasy realm, her personality emanates the qualities of a true strong woman, drawing more and more women fans as episodes go by.

In the show, Emilia is required to wear a platinum blonde wig to mimic the look of Daenerys described in George R.R. Martin's novels. Martin describes the mother of dragons as a petite, platinum-haired charmer with a passion for glory and revenge; a persona which Emilia Clarke delivers quite effortlessly.

Men who fell head-over-heels over the actress and the character will be surprised to know that Clarke is linked to funny man, Seth McFarlane, the creator of Family Guy who just hosted the Oscars recently.

In the third season, a lot is to be expected from the mother of dragons, especially now that she has acquired an army after locking up Xaro in his empty vault after witnessing a betrayal from one her maids, Doreah.
