Recent rumours have hinted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch date is Aug. 2. It is still unclear whether the Galaxy Note 7 will arrive in two variants, one featuring a regular flat screen and the other one with dual edge curved screen. However, a new report from South Korea claims that there won’t be any Galaxy Note 7 edition with a flat screen.

According to ET News, the mass production of the Galaxy Note 7 will start in July. It has further stated that the South Korean tech giant will be manufacturing 2.5 million units of the Galaxy Note 7 in the next month. It will be adding another 2.5 million units in August. In 2015, Samsung had taken three months to produce 5 million units of Galaxy Note 5.

In 2014, the Galaxy Note Edge was launched with a curved screen on one of its sides. In 2015, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ was launched with dual edge curved screen alongside Galaxy Note 5 with a regular screen. The Korean publication has stated that Samsung may launch the Note 7 with a dual edge curved screen and there won’t be a flat screen version. Hence, the upcoming phablet may launch as Galaxy Note 7 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Edge is expected to borrow some of the features from Galaxy S7 such as water and dust resistant capabilities and 12-megapixel rear camera. The Note 7 is rumoured to house a 5.8-inch display with Quad HD resolution.

It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 823 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. It will be coming with some new features like USB Type-C and iris scanner. The phablet is expected to include a 4000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Note 7 launch date is speculated as Aug. 2 and it is expected to be available for purchase in mid-August. Since it will be launching in August, it will come preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Galaxy Note 7 Edge will be one of the first Samsung devices to receive the Android N update.
