The Forsyth County Housing and Community Development released on Thursday an almost 10-minute video of the home of Pazuzu Illah Algarad, a Satanist, which showed extremely stomach-churning footage of a house filled with litter, animal waste and pentagram-covered walls filled with depictions of the devil.

A shallow grave near the house in North Carolina yielded the bodies of two long-dead corpses belonging to Joshua Wetzler, 37, and Timothy Welch, 36, who are believed to have been killed separately in 2009. Authorities arrested Pazuzu, 35, on Oct 5. His wife, Amber Nicole Burch, is also included in murder charges.

The couple shared the extremely filthy house with Algarad's Satanist mother, Cynthia Lawson. Neighbours have complained that the three perform animal sacrifices and satanic rites in the place.

A woman who said she entered the house when Algarad lived there recalled seeing faeces on the floor, which could be human or animal. She told FoxNew, "He was on all kinds of drugs and would drink when I got there ... I'm pretty sure I witnessed him peeing in the corner."

She added the kitchen was filled with piled up dishes and crawling insects.

A warning sign on the front door reads: "No gang members allowed: anyone that dresses the same, has the same badge, and call themselves the authority of the land they did not create." Below and beside the warning sign are images of a skull and cross bones, while under the photo are the words "Evil will triumph."

Algarad's real name is John Lawson, reports the Winston-Salem Journal, when he was born in San Francisco, California. He dropped out of high school and earned money by selling drugs. Lawson, his mum, changed his first name to Pazuzu after the devil that possessed the character played by actress Linda Blair in the 1970s hit horror movie The Exorcist.

Besides filling his face with tattoos, Algarad split his tongue in the middle for it to look like a snake's tongue and reportedly also filed his teeth to make them sharp.

Algarad was convicted in 2010 of being an accessory to the death of 30-year-old Joseph Chandler whose corpse was found near a river.

A woman named Bianca Heath claimed she lived with Algarad for one month in 2005. During this time, he told her of human bones buried in his backyard. "Paz(uzu) old everyone. But I never believed him. I'm sure no one else believed him either. He laughed about the skeletal remains when telling the story on why he did what he did," Daily Mail quoted Heath.
