Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell is taking his coaching talent to Amsterdam, as he revealed that it would be impossible for him to land a managerial spot in England due perceived discrimination.

The 40-year-old is set to fill-in for want out coach and former Manchester United centre-back Jaap Stam, and will undergo coaching courses in the process.

"I want to start abroad," Campbell told the Daily Mirror.

"There are no opportunities for me in England, not until attitudes change anyway."

"Everyone has to ask themselves why there are not more black managers in this country and why the likes of Brian Deane have to go abroad (to Norway) to get a chance."

"I've spoken to other black players who want to coach and they feel the same, that attitudes here are archaic. I hope and pray the environment changes."

A Three Lions mainstay during his prime, Campbell spent his entire playing career in England. He came through the youth ranks at Tottenham and eventually spent nine years at White Hart Lane as a senior, while playing his final game with Newcastle United.
