Add Amir Khan as one of the observers who believe that Manny Pacquiao will come out victorious against Chris Algieri on Nov. 22 in Macau. Despite being two of the older contenders in boxing, Khan believes that Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. and their skills are “dipping”.

In an interview with fighthype.com, the popular British boxer declared that Pacquiao will be the winner in the bout in his next match against the undefeated American in Algieri owing to the Filipino’s superior skills, speed and power.

"Pacquiao will be the winner. I think he's a better boxer; well, I mean, he's a stronger boxer, he punches harder, he has a little bit more quicker movements, he's more explosive. I think that will win him the fight," Khan said in the short interview when asked of his opinion on the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Algieri fight in the Asian country this November.

“And Algieri is not the biggest puncher but a good boxer.”

Khan, who was attending the kick-off press conference to promote his own fight on Dec. 13, 2014 against Devon Alexander, was also asked about Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. and their current status in the boxing landscape. The 27-year-old from Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom did not hold back and stated that both are getting older and that both’s skills are somewhat deteriorating because of age. He admitted however that both are still dangerous fighters.

“As they age, as they get older, yeah you can start seeing a slight dip in their careers.” [But look] they are both very experienced, so that’s what win them the fights. They’re both smart.” Khan said in the same interview giving enough credit to Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao but with a veiled criticism on their performance recently.

Khan (29-3-0, 19 knockouts) is facing Alexander (26-2-0, 14 knockouts) at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver welterweight title.

A win in December by Khan will bring him closer to a blockbuster fight in 2015. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has yet to announce his plans for that year but Khan is one of the fighters aggressively chasing the big money fight against the undefeated American.

“I'm younger, I'm faster and I box better than Manny Pacquiao. I've got youth behind me and I have a new trainer, which has made a massive difference in my training, being in the Bay Area and getting away from all the distractions in LA. I've come here because I'm serious about the sport,” Khan stated mid-October when pressed why Floyd Mayweather Jr. should pick him for 2015 over Pacquiao.

Khan against Pacquiao is also a possibility but is not as big as the probable Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao super fight. Khan and Pacquiao both trained under Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in previous years.
