Time has always been fast in “The Flash” and if one does not pay close attention, one might lose track of which moment in time the show might be. As is its nature, the future is always in a flux and it can bend or break anytime. While viewers already had a glimpse of Flashpoint earlier in season two, it seems that is about to happen again when “The Flash” returns for the mid-season.

Barry (Grant Gustin) may be happy for now, but his vision of the future will be constantly bothering him. This is because he foresaw Iris (Candice Patton) dying at the hands of Savitar and this could really happen if he does not do anything about it.

Barry will become desperate to stop it, even if it entails messing up with the timeline like he did before. The good news here is that Barry is going to have some help from his team; but they might have to let another villain loose for them to achieve their goal.

The official synopsis provides that Barry gets tormented by his outlook of the future when he gets a vision of Iris getting murdered by Savitar. A criminal named Plunder (Stephen Huszar) will show up in Central City -- and this will make Barry recall the villain’s presence in his vision. He fears that if he will succeed in catching Plunder, this will guarantee Iris’ fate in the hands of Savitar.

Because Barry is confused about whether or not he should stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) will step in as Kid Flash. Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) will offer Julian (Tom Felton) a job.

In the latest extended trailer, Barry and Iris’ sweetness gets the spotlight. Barry is seen admitting to Iris about how disturbed he is about his vision of Savitar murdering his love. This, however, will face a lot of obstacles along the way. A new villain has surfaced and Barry gets torn over who he should save -- whether it be his hometown or the love of his life.

Season 3 Episode 10 of “The Flash” hits the small screen in January 24 after the show went on a mid-season break. It airs at 8 p.m. on The CW in the US and on FOX8 in Australia.
