In the previous episode of “The Flash,” titled “Escape from Earth-2,” the team managed to bring back Barry (Grant Gustin) and Harry’s daughter from the clutches of Zoom. Barry also discovered something new about his abilities.

“King Shark escapes from an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank, so Lila and Diggle travel to Central City to warn The Flash. Meanwhile, King Shark shows up at the West house and attacks Joe, Iris, Wally and Barry,” according to the episode synopsis on TV.com.

Another episode synopsis on Comicbook.com states that King Shark will appear at the West house and attack Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Iris (Candice Patton), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Barry. King Shark was a problem for Team Arrow in the past and now, Team Flash has to deal with him.

Movie News Guide reveals that David Ramsey and Audrie Marie Anderson will guest star in the new episode, taking on the roles of John “Dig” Diggle and Lyla Diggle, on “Arrow,” respectively. Dig is an ex-soldier who is part of Team Arrow and also known as Freelancer in the Suicide Squad. Lyla is Dig’s wife, an ex-A.R.G.U.S. member holding a top position. The couple first met in Afghanistan and have a daughter together, Sara.

The appearance of King Shark has been anticipated by fans since the start of Season 2. The villain is expected to stir more trouble for Team Flash, and also opens the opportunity for “Arrow” characters to collaborate. The promo trailer featured the characters anxious about the fact that King Shark is back and roaming the waters of Central City. One scene showed Barry calling out the enemy to get it on with him while they wait at the docks.

“King Shark” was directed by Hanelle Culpepper, while Benjamin Raab and Deric A. Hughes wrote the storyline. King Shark was voiced by Tim Kang and David Hayter. The episode will air on Feb. 23 on The CW in the U.S. and Fox8 in Australia.
