In the previous episode of “The Flash” Season 2, Barry (Grant Gustin), Harry (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) traveled to Earth-2, where they saw a completely unique world where their counterparts were living wholly different lives. There was a huge clash near the end, with Zoom taking an unconscious Barry back to his base. The rest of the team looked for ways to save him and those stranded on Earth-2.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” season 2 episode 14 spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

“On Earth-2, the team races to find Zoom’s lair and asks for help from the most unexpected source. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so that Jay can stop the Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford),” stated the synopsis of Episode 14, titled “Escape from Earth-2.”

SuperHeroHype released new images from the upcoming episode. There were photos of Barry in his Flash suit, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) and the Geomancer. In the trailer, Barry was complaining about having to go up Zoom’s lair for a rescue mission. Compared to his counterpart, the other Barry version was obviously anything but a superhero.

According to CarterMatt, Season 2 Episode 14 of “The Flash” is one of the most anticipated in the series. Fans have long wanted to see the TV reiteration of Earth-2 and its interesting crew of doppelgangers. There is a possibility that the next episode will finally reveal the identity of Zoom, as he faces The Flash.

Killer Frost, Caitlin’s counterpart on Earth-2, may also be working with Flash’s team, including even Earth-2 Barry. Killer Frost’s reason for joining the team and going against Zoom may also be shown. Although Iris (Candice Patton) hates the Earth-2 version of Caitlin, she understands that Zoom murdered Ronnie (Robbie Amell) and Frost may have a clue on the former’s whereabouts, as well as aiming to exact revenge. Frost may be the “unexpected source” described in the episode synopsis.

The show is expected to be action-packed and full of exciting scenes that will place it at the top of the season so far.

“Escape from Earth-2” will air on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. on The CW in the US and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EST on Foxtel Australia. More updates and details are expected soon.
