“The Flash” Season 1, episode 18 continues the story of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) now that he has become suspicious of Dr Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Meanwhile, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) visit Barry at S.T.A.R. Labs to seek some upgrading tips about the A.T.O.M.

Episode 18, titled “All Star Team Up,” airs Tuesday, April 18, on The CW. Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak of “Arrow” leave Starling City for another DC Comics television crossover set in Central City. The new episode synopsis does not mention Dr Wells aka Eobard Thawne, but he gets the spotlight again soon enough.

“The Flash” Season 1, episode 17 (“Tricksters”) reveals to viewers how Dr Wells got connected to Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash of DC Comics. It turns out the real Dr Wells was killed by Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) in the past.

Dr Wells was a gentle soul, a loving husband, and a dreamer in the interest of science. It’s his dreams and his mind that drew Reverse Flash to their lives. It remains to be seen whether Barry Allen and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) would find out about this in “The Flash” Season 1.

Meanwhile, in “Arrow” Season 3, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has shown Ray Palmer he is not as invincible as he thought he was in his A.T.O.M. (Advanced Technology Operating Mechanism) suit. In this week's crossover on “The Flash,” Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is expected to significantly boost Palmer’s superhero shell.

In another interesting development in “The Flash” Season 1, Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) now knows that Barry Allen is The Flash. He thinks Barry and Joe should not hide the truth from Iris (Candice Patton). For now, however, the three men team up to protect Iris and investigate Dr Harrison Wells.

A metahuman by the name of Brie Larvin is the enemy of the week in “The Flash” Season 1, episode 18. Hundreds of robotic bees will attack, and the “all star” team has to stop them from buzzing. Further, Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris and Eddie are going out on a group date in this week’s new episode. The synopsis says this date “turns into a disaster.”

“The Flash” Season 1, episode 18 will be followed by a Wells-centric episode on April 21. Episode 19 is titled, “Who is Harrison Wells?”
