“The Flash” will air a new episode this Tuesday, Mar. 24, on The CW. Titled “Rogue Time,” episode 1x16 brings back two DC Comics villains -- Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) -- and introduces Lisa Snart aka Golden Glider(Peyton List).

Spoiler alert: This update contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on at your own risk. In their last appearance, Captain Cold and Heat Wave fled authorities with the help of Lisa Snart.

“The Flash” Season 1 delivered a shocking episode to fans a week ago. In its Mar. 17 episode on The CW, the DC Comics-inspired series kills off Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Right after that, however, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) time travels to a point before the killing took place.

Dr Wells (Tom Cavanagh) kills Cisco without mentioning that the killing will be undone. He says Cisco’s been dead for centuries as far as he is concerned. It remains to be seen what Dr Wells would do next in this week’s new episode.

Cisco has developed a gadget that makes for a strong defence against the combined powers of Captain Cold and Heat Wave. With Lisa Snart on their side, Barry Allen and team will have to re-strategize to win another battle.

In DC Comics, Lisa Snart is also known as the Golden Glider, the younger sister of Captain Cold aka Len/Leonard Snart. One of the stories in the comics features a vengeful Golden Glider who wants to get back at The Flash for killing her boyfriend, the Top.

Now that Barry Allen knows he can time travel by running at maximum speed, fans are eager to find out if he would use this skill on Captain Cold, Heat Wave and Lisa Snart.

This week’s new episode of “The Flash” was directed by John Bering. The 1x16 “Rogue Time” story is credited to Grainne Godfree; teleplay, Brooke Eikmeier and Kai Yu Wu.
