The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas started on an interesting note for gadget lovers. The event unveiled a slew of smartwatches and fitness trackers from different brands. The Fitbit Blaze, Smart Outdoor Watch, Huawei Honor Band Z1 are among the several gadgets shown at the CES. Here is a list of details about these gadgets:

Fitbit Blaze

According to CNET, the Fitbit Blaze is more like a smartwatch than a fitness tracker. It can be synched with your phone so as to use its internet connection for tracking any location via Global Positioning System (GPS) which is integrated in the gadget. Apart from this, you can also use the Fitbit Blaze for getting notifications on incoming calls, text messages, and reminders for appointments as marked by you on the calendar.

"The product is about the balance of fitness and style. While it may look like a smartwatch, we think we've gotten it right. It has a distinct focus on fitness that's why we're calling it a smart fitness watch,” said co-founder and CEO of Fitbit, James Park, during the CES 2016 press conference. The device is priced at US$199.95 (approx. AU$284).

Smart Outdoor Watch

Running on an Android operating system, Casio’s Smart Outdoor Watch is gorgeous. It has a built-in microphone, a pressure sensor and a compass. The most interesting part of the watch is that it has water-resistance capacity of up to 50 metres so that you can wear it in the rain without fear of getting its inside machinery damaged by water. The functions in the watch comply with US military standards. The device is available for US$500 (approx. AU$711).

Huawei Honor Band Z1

Huawei promises pure stainless steel for its Honor Band Z1. Built with a dust-resistant feature, the watch stays safe when you are out in a polluted region. The watch is IP68 certified, ensuring water-resistance up to a depth of 1.5 metres. It is priced at US$500 (approx. AU$711).
