Hollywood's "It" Girl, Jennifer Lawrence, is ready for another box-office hit and what better way to do it than with a horror, thriller film, "The House at the End of the Street."

Director Mark Tonderai, along with his co-screen writers, Jonathan Mostow and David Loucka are behind the thrilling masterpiece. With preposterous twists and nerve-wracking flashbacks, "House at the End of the Street" appears to be a newly constructed take on the thriller film, "Memento."

With key events unfolding in the reverse plus all the vital scenes played backwards, it threatens to be more of offering a headache than a suspense filled story. Given the fact that Oscar nominated actresses Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence are to star, it's more than enough to make up for it.

The film's synopsis is as follows: "Newly divorced Sarah (Elisabeth Shue) and her daughter Elissa (Jennifer Lawrence) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret."

Basically, Jennifer Lawrence befriends the surviving son of their next door neighbor, Max Theriot, but once she finds out more than she should, things take a turn for the worse which is more than enough to say that the story is far from over.

Max Theriot who plays Lawrence's love interest on screen is best known for his film, "My Soul to Take" and as the charming boy alongside Kristen Stewart in "Catch that Kid." The 21-year old also appeared in the film "Jumper" and now that he's starring alongside Jennifer Lawrence, his stars are likely to "jump" a bit higher up the charts.

While the rave is still on for Lawrence's performance as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games", fans who want to see her in a whole different light will have to wait until September 21 for the theatrical release of "House at the End of the Street" in the US.
