"Twilight's" Robert Pattinson had been the inspiration for the iconic Christian Grey of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Naturally, "Twi-hards" had rooted for Robert to be cast in the film adaptation. Much to the dismay of a few, Pattinson lost the part to Charlie Hunnam of "Sons of Anarchy." If only Pattinson's Dior ad had been released early, could Pattinson have been considered for the part?

Kristen Stewart's ex-boyfriend got hot and heavy for a Dior Ad. Robert Pattinson lunged into a number of steamy and sexy scenes opposite Camilla Rowe. Who would have expected Pattinson to be this passionate and not to mention broodingly handsome for an ad? If only E.L. James had seen this ad sooner, then Robert could have nabbed the role.

Fans assumed Pattinson would have taken the part after sources spotted E.L. James and he caught up in a serious conversation at a "Gatsby" themed birthday party a few months back. Also, after taking inspiration from Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson would be the perfect actor for the part of Christian Grey. Yet, E.L. James was stubborn about not casting Robert or his ex-belle, Kristen Stewart for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Sooner or later, fans will just have to accept that Charlie Hunnam won the part from strong contenders such as Robert Pattinson, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill. Anyone wanting to see Pattinson in action as Grey is best left to their own fan-made videos. For now, check out the Dior ad starring Robert Pattinson and Camilla Rowe below.
