Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" continue to speculate who among Hollywood's hottest would nab the lead roles in the upcoming film adaptation. Despite the casting call announced earlier this month, producers are yet to find their official Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. As for the case of Christian Grey, another Hollywood hunk has been eyed for the part and he is none other than Michael Pitt.

With all the waiting and rumours circulating about, it is hard to keep track who and who isn't considered for the film. One thing is for sure: Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries" and Garrett Hedlund of "On the Road" are officially out of the running for the part of Christian Grey. As for other contenders, namely Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill, they remain strong candidates but that is all they are for now.

Another potential candidate up for the part of Grey has been eyed by Marie Claire magazine.

"He's probably more of a left-field choice, but after seeing Michael Pitt in Boardwalk Empire (not to mention his recent Prada campaign!), it all suddenly seems so obvious," stated Marie Claire Magazine.

Michael Pitt of "Boardwalk Empire" is said to have all the physical attributes for the part, as reported by EnStarz. Could Michael be the next Christian Grey favourite?

"With his mesmerizing blue-green eyes and athletic psychique, the 32-year-old surely embodies all the physical attributes needed to don the part of the S&M-crazed billionaire CEO," reported EnStarz.

Producers stated they want an extremely good-looking male for the part between the ages of 25 and 33. Given those qualifications for the role of Grey, Pitt falls into the right age as he is 32 years old, and he certainly doesn't miss out on the "extremely good-looking" part.
