Fans of 'The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder refuses to give up. Despite the announcement that Ian has dropped out of the running for the part of Christian Grey in the film adaptation, Ian's fan base continues to root for him. In fact, the hash tag "#NoIanNoMovie" still trends on Twitter with regards to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film.

August is halfway done which means an official cast will be announced sooner or later. For one, casting call had been broadcast during the first week of August. Producers for the film are looking for specific qualifications for the stars wanting to try out for the part of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

For the part of Ana, the qualification is that she should be between the ages of 20 to 25 and be quite beautiful. On the other hand, for the part of Christian the qualification is that he should be between the ages of 25 to 33 and be extremely good-looking.

Given that age requirement, Ian Somerhalder who has long been a strong contender for the part is no longer qualified since he is 34 years of age. Even without the age factor, it had been announced "that the part won't go to Ian" during the San Diego Comic Con party. Yet, Author E.L. James had never responded to the news about Ian out of the running which has led fans of Somerhalder to think he is still a contender.

Surprisingly, Ian's fans have done an incredible job standing by him despite the news. "Somalderifics" had even started a Twitter trend, "#NoIanNoMovie," in the hopes of getting the attention of producers. Will this method work and earn the nod of Ian for the part of Christian Grey again?
