"Pretty Little Liars" Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario have recently been eyed by "Fifty Shades" fanatics to portray Anastasia Steele. While Hale has been expressive about the role, nothing beats Ashley Benson's "dire need" to star in the film as the brunette beauty. Here's what Benson had to say about the S&M role.

Speculation for an official cast of "Fifty Shades of Grey" continues. Over the months, fans of E.L. James novel have been nothing but anxious about casting. Universal Studios and Focus Features, on the other hand, have their hands full searching for a suitable director.

Of course, with the delays, fans continued to name potential Hollywood stars for the lead roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Some of these possible stars have even managed to speak up on the popular roles of which include "Pretty Little Liars" Ashley Benson.

Earlier in 2012, Ashley was one of the actresses who had expressed interest in the role claiming she would "love" to play Anastasia. However, it looks as if Benson has changed her mind about the "edgy, raw and organic" role.

"Oh, man. I've been linked to that movie so many times. It's so funny. I don't know. It depends. It might be a bit of a stretch. I don't know if I could do all that," stated Benson, adding, "I loved the book. I mean amazing, great. I read all three books in a week, but the movie, I mean reading it and doing it is completely different."

This statement pretty much means Benson is out of the running. The same goes for Benson's "PLL" co-star, Lucy Hale who had also deemed the role a bit too raw. Benson joins the list of actresses who have lost or have no interest in the role of Ana namely Emma Watson and Mila Kunis.

Does this mean "Game of Thrones" star, Emilia Clarke has the greatest chance of being cast as Steele? As of late, the brunette beauty has been topping countless web polls as Anastasia. Producers of "Fifty Shades" better get a deal signed with Clarke before this actress too becomes uninterested in the role.
